YMCA Prayer Breakfast

Ever since 1968, the Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi has hosted an annual prayer breakfast. This event was first held to honor the past board members of the Metropolitan YMCA branches but has since evolved to honor all community volunteers for their dedication to and support of the YMCA. This is one of the largest and longest-running community events in the greater Jackson area. The Metropolitan YMCA now uses this long-running event to reflect on previous blessings and look forward to the year ahead.

This year’s prayer breakfast was held on November 21, 2024, and featured keynote speaker Pastor Bobby McGuffie with a performance by the Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi Horizon Singer singing Heal the World. The singers are children from the Clinton Family YMCA's afterschool program.

The Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi would like to acknowledge and extend warmest thanks to the generosity of our sponsors:

The Metropolitan YMCA fully appreciates the support of its entire community, and we stand by the fact that strengthening the community is our cause. In order to best strengthen our community, we focus our work on three areas: youth development, the improvement of Mississippian's health and well-being, and social responsibility.
